Manifestation Isn't Magic—It's Neuroscience: Rewiring Your Mind with Jamie Greenfield

Shelly Jefferis Season 2 Episode 108

What if the key to creating your dream life isn't fighting harder but finding alignment? In this illuminating conversation with manifestation expert Jamie Greenfield, we explore the fascinating intersection of neuroscience, self-concept, and energy work that creates real-world results.

Jamie shares her personal journey from feeling stuck in fight-or-flight mode to discovering the transformative power of manifestation. But this isn't about vision boards and wishful thinking. "I'm a science nerd," Jamie confesses, explaining how she was skeptical until she discovered the neurological evidence behind these practices. "When I understood the science, I realized I was keeping myself stuck. It's literally me—it's a me thing."

The conversation dives deep into what Jamie calls your "F-Yes Frequency"—that energetic state where manifestation naturally occurs. Rather than forcing outcomes through stress and struggle, she explains how regulating your nervous system and following what genuinely excites you creates powerful alignment. "I had forgotten what it felt like to have my brainpower focused on my own thing," she reflects on her journey of solo travel and self-discovery.

Perhaps most powerful is Jamie's insight on self-concept: "Believe in yourself to the point of delusion. There is no such thing as delusion. You've got to be your number one advocate." This isn't empty motivation but a practical approach to reprogramming your subconscious mind through consistent, emotionally-charged repetition.

Whether you're feeling stuck in your wellness journey, questioning your path as an entrepreneur, or simply curious about manifestation beyond the "woo-woo," this episode offers practical wisdom for creating tangible change by aligning with your authentic self. Speaker 1:

You got to be like your number one advocate. Even if you don't believe it sometimes, tell yourself that you can be anything, that you are exactly who you think that you are and just try to like get that inner critic out of the, get him out of the room. He's got to go, he's got to go.

Speaker 2:

Do you get confused by all of the information that bombard us every day on ways to improve our overall health and our overall wellness? Do you often feel stuck, unmotivated or struggle to reach your wellness goals? Do you have questions as to what exercises you should be doing, what foods you should or should not be eating, how to improve your overall emotional and mental well-being? My goal is to answer these questions and so much more to share tips, education and inspiration around all of the components of wellness through solo and guest episodes. However, my biggest goal and inspiration in doing this podcast is to share the wellness stories of others with you, to bring in guests who can share their journeys so that we can all learn together while making an impact on the health, the wellness and lives of all of you, our listeners. The ultimate hope is that you leave today with even just one nugget that can enhance the quality of your life, and that you will. We all will, now and into the future, live our best quality of lives, full of energy, happiness and joy. Now let's dive into our message for today.

Speaker 2:

Hello, my friends, welcome back to Words of Wellness. My name is Shelley and I will be your host, and I'm super excited to have my guest on today. She is an incredible woman. We met each other in an online coaching group a couple years back and have just remained friends, and she was a guest on my podcast last year. So I'm having her back to share what she's been up to these days and very excited to hear her share about some of her new ventures, some of her past ventures, and she uses neuroscience to create dream lives with her clients, and I love how that sounds. And, most importantly, she's just a bright light in the world. So thank you, jamie, for being here.

Speaker 1:

Thank you. We always have the best chat, so I'm I I'm just so excited to be here with you.

Speaker 2:

And it's been like that from the get-go, like when we, you know, we met online, but when we were able to be at that one event in person, it was just, it was just so much fun. You just can tell, you know, you can tell online, but then when you you meet in person, it's a whole other level.

Speaker 1:

So when you meet your people. You, just, you just know. It's just easy.

Speaker 2:

It's just easy, yeah yep, exactly, so I know, before we start recording, you've been kind of on this journey, more like a personal journey, I'd say, kind of finding your way, and I was relating it to just our overall wellness, because what we do in life and our passions and our goals and our dreams directly relates to our own overall wellness, physically and mentally, right. Yeah, so you've been on this. Really. I think it's a cool journey because you've been able to do some major traveling right.

Speaker 1:

Yes, that traveling is my love language, so I will never stop traveling. As long as I'm healthy, thank God, I will continue to travel as much as possible.

Speaker 2:

And I'm so impressed because I see you on your travels and you go to far away places and you, you've gone by yourself, right.

Speaker 1:

So I have done solo travel. Yeah, I went to Denmark by myself, the most recent one in Europe. I wasn't by myself. I mean I'll spend days here and there by myself, but no, I did go to Denmark by myself. Huge fan of solo travel, life changing, like it's just life changing. I just there is something so peaceful about that process and also to like it gets to be whatever you want. There's no one else to consider, which sounds selfish, but that's kind of cool because, like you just get to like experience the world in your own way, and I think it's pretty freaking cool.

Speaker 2:

You know it's very cool. So this mama bear in me. First thing I go to is safety, like I feel like okay, is she going to be safe?

Speaker 1:

by herself.

Speaker 2:

You're, you and my mom would get along just fine then you're, you and my mom would get along just fine then, right, yeah, that's the only thing I think of, because I I totally hear you like I love weekends. When I go to like a conference or an event and go spend a couple nights in a hotel alone, it's just, oh my gosh, I love my family to pieces, but it's just that alone time where you can just have a just really process things and really just kind of have that downtime that we all need. It doesn't mean you have to go pay money and stay in a hotel. However, it's so necessary for again, going back to our not just physical health but our mental, our emotional health, to have that time, and so I'll just live vicariously through you.

Speaker 1:

It's so funny. I um no, I agree, you know, and I think that there's something to be said too about like it inspires you and then just you don't have to go on a trip to get inspired. But I do think there's something worth noting of, like, if you're feeling uninspired, get out of your environment in some capacity. You know what I mean. So, and I'm sure you, being in the wellness space like you, you can understand like, yeah, different places bring out different sides to us and emotions in us, and so I felt like that these trips have just been kind of bringing me closer to who I actually am, and like I was like really out of alignment. I felt like, so I, these trips were actually like kind of a realization of that.

Speaker 2:

You know, yeah, for sure, and you hear that recommendation also when it comes to to our business. Like you hear, people I mean you have as well where they go. I'm just going to go lock myself in a hotel room for a day or two and just focus on my business, and so, again, it doesn't mean you have to be away and be in a hotel room, but it's just again that quiet, that alone downtime can be so powerful in so many aspects of our lives, right?

Speaker 1:

A million percent, honestly, just being alone without all this noise. And then I also think there's something you said like worrying for yourself. You don't have so many people pinging you all day. I mean, just like the creative freedom that you get, like I, that's the biggest shift that I've seen. Like whoa, this is like what it feels like to have, like my brainpower focused on my own thing. You know, and I forgot. I forgot what that felt like it's been. That in itself is worth, you know, it's great. I'll say that, you know.

Speaker 2:

Sure. So share a little bit with with us, and with our listeners, what you have discovered along this journey. Oh my God.

Speaker 1:

Well, um, you know, look, I think the past year I was working in the social media space, I had started a podcast, stopped the podcast, I had just tried a lot of different things and there was two things that I started to notice. The first is that I was forcing a lot of things. The second is that I was also sabotaging a lot of things, and I think that there was like a deeper, really fear there there. Can I sustain this? Am I gonna have to sacrifice like my life if this goes well? And I just like wasn't consciously aware of that, and when I was on these trips recently, I was just like what do I actually want? Like what the hell do I want? You know, I was like kind of making content here and there.

Speaker 1:

I just, I don't know, to be honest, I started feeling like I was dumbing myself down. I was just talking about stuff that, to be quite frank, I really had no interest in talking about. But I was like you know, try, like I have to figure out a way to make it out of the matrix, out of the you know system. And I think I started getting really interested in subconscious work, energy work, not like the woo stuff, because I let's also be real oh, I feel like with this space, specifically manifestation, it gets like kind of so people can take it really far, there's nothing wrong with it. That's just not where I'm coming from. I really like science, my background, I'm a science nerd, so like you can explain to me why something actually will be legit and it actually works and like this is proven. And then I was like okay, then let me actually take this seriously and like get more into this. So I started studying and I was like holy, does anybody?

Speaker 2:

know this.

Speaker 1:

Why aren't people talking about this? I just was like what is going on? So I started actually putting into practice. I'm like all right, started journaling. Multiple things happen. First and foremost, the confidence that I feel. If nothing else happened for me, I would at least be happy with the level of peace in my life, confidence in my life that I've seen improve. But the things that I've been writing down.

Speaker 1:

In just a short amount of time I've, opportunities have presented themselves and, I swear to God, from a flow state I used to be so like I'm trying to control things.

Speaker 1:

You know, I was like attached to that outcome, like, oh, if I want this, I have to go out and grab. It has to be so hard, I have to be always stressed. I was just like I think I was just addicted to being in fight or flight mode and I just was like this is literally getting me nowhere because I'm all over the place. So, anyways, I'm sorry this is pretty long winded, but my point being was like I started tapping into, like what is my actual energy and like what do I actually want and what is that version of me going to actually look like? And it's not going to happen when she's surviving in fight or flight mode, which is why I left this kind of bubble in Miami and a job and all these things I was like I have to focus on, like my energy and who I actually show up as to attract things that I want. It's never going to happen for me while I'm stressed out in this fight or flight every day, and so, yeah, it was kind of a big realization.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's good. No, that was perfect. Sharing all of that and it's so important, I think, for people to hear, because you're so right. It's like anything in life, and I again, easier said than done. But when we're in that stressful moment we don't make the best decisions. And I'll stop myself and say, Shelly, stop for a moment, take a deep breath, because you're making it out of, like you say, fight or flight or in a fearful state of mind and stressed out. Nothing good comes out of that. And again, you know, again, it's easier said than done. There are going to be moments where we're in that kind of a situation and sometimes we don't have the wherewithal to kind of step back and take it a little different perspective.

Speaker 1:

Take one, just one deep breath can be all you need right, you know, taking time for yourself, taking a step back, like, and you know what. I think there's something to be said about not rushing the decisions either. You know. I think that, like I had really taken some time to you know the, it was marinating me for a while and then I was just like I took some time to really marinate on it and like not rushing a decision. This is, it was a big decision, obviously. So whoever's listening, maybe you have a big decision or maybe it's a little bit, you know smaller, whatever, but my point is is like don't rush it. You know, like, take some time, and I think that time and that space away gave me the answers that I think that I was looking for.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, no, I love that. So you spent kind of off and on the last year or so traveling and doing doing well.

Speaker 1:

Well, I mean, I went on a few trips definitely wasn't traveling all throughout the year Um, I took a trip in, I took a trip in the winter time. That was when I went to Copenhagen, and then I was in Europe for like two and a half weeks recently, this summer, and it was, I mean to be completely honest with you. One of the reasons I want to start this business, uh, is because I really really realized how much I value like my location, freedom. I'm very much like a nomad I love. I was a flight attendant years ago, so that used to be a huge part of my life. And then I think I was like I want to climb the corporate ladder and like I want to be successful and use and I still do, but in a different way Cause then I was like I'm going to have to be tied down to my computer every day of my life, like I just never going to be free, and I, part of manifestation, is like, well, can I actually have the things that I want? And I'm like, yeah, I actually can. So if I'm able to work virtually and honestly too, it inspires me when I'm traveling, which is then going to help my, my clients, which is going to help all of us get the things that we want.

Speaker 1:

It just was like oh my God, like this makes so much sense and so like this is like actually possible. That's where it was like the shift. It's like can you really do this? Yeah, you can really do this, cause I know and I've seen people do it, you know it's that's what real life is. So, yeah, I don't know, it was just this. You know, some people might look at you and they're like okay, you know, I've been people say to me all the time like live in reality, what's reality, what's your reality? Cause I know what my reality is Like. I I know that it's possible. So, to answer your question about traveling, yeah, I traveled a few times this year, but my goal this year is like I would like to travel as honestly much as I can. Really that's the dream for me.

Speaker 2:

I love it and when you can do it, do it. I mean, jump in and do it right and the fact that you can do your business from wherever. And I think that you know, like you're saying, what is everyone's reality. I think we get too many of us get comfortable and complacent, and I would just tell my husband the other day I'm like I don't know, I don't want average, I don't want to be average and I don't mean that in a bad way or a negative way, or you know, yeah, comfort is nice, but I just feel like we are also meant to do so much more, feel like we are all so meant to do so much more and I just I don't want me personally, my family or people that I know or anybody in the world to settle when you, when you have so much more you could do and impact you can make. And of course, that looks different for everybody and some people may go Nah, I'm good, and which is great? It's not. There's something for everyone, right. Go, nah, I'm good, and which is great?

Speaker 2:

It's not there's something for everyone, right, but that's what I love, what you're doing, and I think that, um, it just can only help those who maybe are like not quite where they want to be and maybe they don't have that belief that they can get there. And you can help them with that, and I can relate to that. You know, I've gone through my moments for sure. I mean we were talking earlier like there's just moments where like, okay, what am I doing? What's the next step? Is this like, should I be doing this, should I be doing that? And I think that that's a question many of us ask, especially as entrepreneurs. I'm learning more and more that it's common you go through those phases.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's so common and it's going to happen. But I think the more that you can like, program your like you are, it's the only limitations are in your brain, like genuinely, and I was like, oh, people used to say that I'm like, okay, okay, but it's true. And like when I understood the science behind that, I'm like I'm keeping myself stuck. It's literally me, it's a me thing. So when you get into that kind of headspace, it's like how can you take yourself out of that headspace? You know, that's why I love just talking about this topic, cause if I'm going to talk about something, I would love to talk about something that's going to help. That's positive. That's also programming me and it's like we probably sound crazy to some, but to the right people were like they're like, no, this is making sense. So, yeah, it's totally normal.

Speaker 1:

You're questioning your next steps, what you're doing, and it's just like how can you get back to your truth? And like your center Like what does that look like for you? You know, and I think that like part of that is just taking a step back, also regulating your nervous system. That's a whole other thing. But, like you know, when I stopped working for someone else, I was like, holy crap, I have all this like creative energy, physical energy. I'm waking up and I feel like I can think and and and you know, like it just it was like I got out of fight or flight, basically, and that's when I was like okay, what do I actually want to do now? So I don't know where I was going with this. I think I was trying to say what was.

Speaker 2:

I saying I don't know. I love this. Well, I would love to hear in what you're when you talk about your business. We talked earlier about mentorship and that's what we're both. We're both doing and and and working towards in our businesses. So, for you, are you, you're doing and working with clients one-on-one. That's your, what you're going to be building and it's all going to be centered around your manifestation and yeah, so the biggest thing that I'm working on with people is their self-concept.

Speaker 1:

So manifestation to me is like a byproduct of your self-concept, of like what you think is actually possible for yourself, what you want, who you are, your subconscious programming because I know for me that was what was really keeping me stuck like I was just living in fear forever.

Speaker 1:

Um, so, to answer your question, my kind of like longer term, like kind of plan right now is I want to actually have like my own subconscious work that I'm going to be selling and sharing with people, um, that they can purchase, and then, yes, eventually I'm going to have like sort of I'm figuring out the mentorship where that's going to actually look like, uh, whether it's group coaching, whether it is going to be sort of like online self-paced modules that they can review themselves, so, and a lot of it's going to be based on client feedback, what they're looking for, and, as I develop this and as I, you know, see what their needs are, then that's something that I'm going to be kind of working through.

Speaker 1:

Right now it's more bringing people on your journey, just giving so much value and like I just want people, I want to like find my tribe really, you know and I think that's the point of business is like I just am excited to attract like soulmate clients who are like stuck, like I was just stuck and I wish that somebody was like there for me, and so like that's kind of the goal that I have is like I really want to be there for that and like help people and myself right Get to that point.

Speaker 2:

I love that because it's so in alignment with everything that I'm working on as well, and I think that you know they always say you're positioned best to serve the person that you once were. And you know when I think about that, when I'm talking about my mentorship program for moms, it's specific to those who are empty nesters and I want to help them through the process. I want to help, guide them through them, support, support them through the process, because I didn't have that and initially it was very, very difficult. And I don't say that to minimize the experience, because it is very it's, it's hard, it's really hard. But there wasn't for me personally, there wasn't any conversation around it.

Speaker 2:

So we, we just went into it blindly. We're like, oh, we're dropping our daughter off at college, this is what we're supposed to do. And then, as we're driving away and she's standing there and we cry the entire way home from Oregon 12 hour drive, what did we just do? Yeah, like, and she was our first, you know, our first baby, and then our other two have gone to college too. So I just feel like, like you, like helping others with this journey, and then we learn as we go along and I'm exactly like you, like I, want to get the feedback and go what's going to serve all of you most and best? Yeah, that, that's our goal.

Speaker 1:

That's the goal, right. And it's like there's also something to be said, too, about like bringing people on a journey, and like that's something that I feel like I can kind of speak to, is like I love being able to be authentic and being like, hey, this is what I'm building. I might not have these things yet, but this is what I'm doing Right. So for you, you have different level of expertise and experience that you bring to the table, and so, like you are a hundred percent like this kind of person that can guide them. That's like, hey, this is what worked for me. So you can ask them and say, like what is it that you're looking to, um, to learn from me? Or like what is your biggest struggle with right now? You know, and like, get them to share what that struggle is with with you. So it's just, I love social media because it's so interactive. You know, and you don't have to guess.

Speaker 2:

Right, yes, and I have asked that and I feel like I want to really zero in on just a.

Speaker 2:

There's a few moms that I know. When my, my babies were babies, I, I had a franchise called Stroller Strides and we worked out outdoors and it was a community of moms and families and babies and it was just so awesome. And so I have these pockets of of moms and populations and I and I I have some that I've been thinking. I want to reach out and just individually, you know, really connecting how ask them at this point because now many of those moms not all of them, but many of them are starting to go through that empty nest phase also, and so I just, I don't know, it's just I get so excited learning from others and I know you're the same and all again, it's all about just learning and growth and just the journey that we're all on and I just I love what you're doing and I I want to go back for a minute because I know you had kind of said some people take it the manifestation part like real, like oh my God, far maybe a little bit far.

Speaker 2:

We can be woo woo to a point, and, you know, coming from a faith background and strong in our faith, like I feel like there's the extreme. The extreme like I feel like we get maybe too much into the science and not, of this, enough of the spiritual and and are, you know, following our faith and and god-led lives. But I feel like there's it's both, it's kind of both.

Speaker 1:

Well, yeah, it's both, it's literally both, and like I guess what I was saying, like the spiritual, sometimes I you know it'll be like the portal of three, three, three, three or like whatever, and there's nothing wrong with that. It's just like I don't even really understand. I mean, maybe that's part of me too, I don't know, I it's just not my world Right. But just like you said, like you know, the power of faith, the power of belief, the power of um prayer, the power of speaking things out into existence, combined with what, how it changes your brain and what you're focused on, I was just like, holy crapola, like this is so interesting and so cool. And, um, I was like you know, I don't know, like this sounds wild, right, like it sounds like so simple and so ridiculous, and I'm like, well, wouldn't we all be doing it? But it's like it doesn't just happen overnight, like it's through the consistency, it's through like you have to really reprogram yourself and that takes like it takes time and it takes emotional, um, emotional, like just you have to repeat things multiple times but feel them in the emotional state, like embodying that energy.

Speaker 1:

And so that's what I had, this aha moment, like I was trying to make it as like an no-transcript. What is the actual life that I want? And like what, what could that look like? And that's when the concept of like manifestation came and presented itself. And then I just feel like I got more into alignment and I was asking for things and journaling things and like just these things kept moving and I was like, oh okay, this makes way more sense for me. This is like more in tune with like what I'm genuinely interested in in general. Right, because that's part of it too. So you know, I think that you can attract anything that you really want. You just have to first know what you want, is my point. Um, know what you want, and that will make the journey easier, way much more fun, enjoyable, and it'll be worth it.

Speaker 2:

Well, I think, too, a lot of this aligns with even just scripture, like even you know, those without a vision will perish, like we. We know all this to be true and this is just an alignment with so much of that and just having that belief in yourself and what and and what you want to set out to accomplish. And you know, gosh, I mean, you know I'd be lying if I said I don't struggle with that from time to time and just knowing, yes, I'm capable of doing this and this is where I want to be, and, yes, I can get there. But I think we're human, you know where there are moments where that doubt creeps in, or you question it, or and then you go, okay, no, stop, no, and you go again, I go okay, blinders on, keep moving forward, kind of thing.

Speaker 2:

But I just think it's so powerful, like you said, it just takes repetition and and I'm guilty of it, of not keeping up with it, you know it's like you say it and you write out what you're wanting to accomplish and I think for me, one of my downfalls is I'll do it for a little bit and if I don't see something happening, I tend to like filter off and not continue Right, and I know that's a fault of my own, that I need to like work on and keep that focus and, like you're saying, whatever it is we're wanting to achieve and whatever we want to put out there as an affirmation or what have you um, it has to be done consistently yeah, and that's why I just talking about it is helpful, like because I said to myself.

Speaker 1:

I'm like, what am I actually doing with my day? What am I even talking about? And then, like, as a you're like, okay, here's what I'm eating for breakfast. I'm going to take a walk, which I guess that has that substantial, because there's, there's or it's more. Like you know, I'm going to put on my makeup today, like who cares, no offense, like literally, who cares? I was sitting there. I'm like this is what I'm going. I'm so not into this.

Speaker 1:

So you know, I just think that, like I'm bringing this home to say that, like when you talk about things enough, when you're repeating them enough maybe you're not a manifestation mentor, whatever. This has nothing to do with what you're doing but just like what Shelly was saying, that you're feeling stuck, or like you need to remind yourself, just remember that, like what you talk about, you're literally going to be focused on. So I could sit there and I can be like talking about all of my stress. That never really helped me. You know, when I started talking about the gratitude, started doing things that made me feel good dancing, whatever, taking a walk like those are the things that put you in what I call an FES frequency, and so, like you just have to try to get to your FES. Frequency is what I'm going to say. Actually, that's like one of the biggest things that I love talking about is finding that frequency for you. I really want to get merchandise, I think. Eventually that says F, yes, frequency. I really should trademark that.

Speaker 2:

I think it's so cool because right F yes frequency?

Speaker 1:

Um, because we all need it, like we all freaking need it. We everyone has responsibilities. Stuff's going to drain you. You have admin, like it's just. It's. It's such as life, right, but it's like if you can just figure out how to get into that higher state, that is like the sweet spot for you, and then that's where you track things and that's how it works.

Speaker 2:

It's so interesting. I love this because what we were talking about earlier too is you. You were giving me a little little session to help me, what like like to get you excited. And I know like one of the big things is is doing what we're doing right now doing the podcast, talking to other people, having sharing my guests with the world, having you share your world, your, your, your journey and your expertise and just having the conversations.

Speaker 2:

I always just get so energized and it's so interesting because I had a morning last week also where the morning started kind of a little bit, a little off for me, not quite on target and not feeling totally myself, but as the day progressed I had this newfound energy and I did a podcast interview and I had a conversation with somebody else on the phone, I think, and so it's just that again, it's that human connection and that human conversation is huge. But I know that this, what we're doing right now, is a big one for me. I enjoy it and I really love it so much and having the opportunity to learn from people like yourself and to share you with the world and it's also it's just a win-win, like I just it just fills my heart all the time when I get to meet.

Speaker 2:

And you know we know each other already, but just be able to have conversations and learn from each other and continue again, continue this journey and you're such a good host and and follow your energy.

Speaker 1:

Like, just follow your energy. That is like the number one thing that I can say about any sort of manifestation for you. Follow that energy. If you love this and now you know what you want to share, this will be the driver for you, like this is going to be the most organic marketing tool to your coaching, for you, because you love it and it's just authentic and people can really feel that when you love it.

Speaker 1:

And I I think that there's so many to be said about that too. Like you know, when I was going and trying to be an influencer I hate using that word, but I was like I could just tell that, like I hated it. So I'm like I'm sure other people are going to be like, why is she there? I probably wouldn't have made it anyway. Is what I'm trying to say? I don't think I would have been successful because I think people would have known that I just wasn't happy. I had friends that were like you're miserable, why, what are you doing? You know, so I'm glad that they said that. So my point is is follow what lights you up, and this lights you up.

Speaker 2:

Yes, for sure, and I think that's such an important message for anyone and everyone that's listening Is it really? Again goes back to the importance of taking time alone and downtime to determine what that is, but also to know in the moment what it is Like. You'll experience it and you'll know. Okay, this is really what lights me up and to continue to focus on that. And maybe some people are at a place in their lives maybe they can't focus 100% or maybe they can't change jobs and do something entirely different, but they know that this over here lights us up, whereas this over here maybe not so much. So we have that to work towards, right, we can work towards it with our day to day lives and just work towards that goal of being in a different job or whatever it is like you have found. And I just have to back up and say I thought you were great when you were doing the out in public and interviewing people on the spot. I mean, you might not have enjoyed that, but I thought it was really cute and fun.

Speaker 1:

That I loved. Actually that was the only, probably congregation I actually loved. It was just more of like I don't have anything that I'm selling. Um, the conversations were fun, but I still was just like I feel like I have a bigger purpose. I don't know, I just and I still do love I actually still do straight interviews for brands, like kind of one-off, but I love that that that was different than like what I was doing, like I don't know.

Speaker 1:

It was like the TikTok stuff and again, like I tried it and I'm glad that I tried it, I could have built a following, but it would have been inauthentic, right, and I just that wouldn't have been fair, right, you know, because then you're, you're just a performer and and some people can crush it as a performer, if you want to be a performer, sometimes I like to me, but I don't want that to be my whole brand and like my whole business. I really like ideas and also, too, like I just like being able to get value. But I hadn't found a topic that I'm so into as much as I am into this to manifestation. So I never thought I'd be the coach. I never thought I'd come back to it.

Speaker 1:

I used to do coaching years ago for polycystic ovarian syndrome and I enjoyed it, but it was very intense for me, which I'm sure you know as a coach like it was a lot, it was, it was just a lot. So, um, there was that element. There was also health is very bio-individual, like you can't it was just very hard.

Speaker 2:

I was also in a different place.

Speaker 1:

So I don't know. I just feel like everything kind of happened the way that it was supposed to and now I'm like excited for the first time about it. So that's good.

Speaker 2:

Well, I'm very excited for you. I really, really am, and I just think it's we can like look back and go okay, whatever we used to do or did in the past. It's kind of like it's again those stepping stones in the journey that takes us to where we are today, and you can kind of take everything culminated together and and and combine it into what you're doing today. So I think that's wonderful.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and you know, like try and fail a hundred times. There's no age limit. Gary V says this all the time. Like be in your sixties, seventies, eighties, trying and failing, like just do something and like don't be afraid. Look, I'm 31 years old and like I didn't know that I would have found something at 31, I thought I would have found it at 25, like you just don't know. So I just would encourage, like anyone to just try things, because it's just going to help show you what you like and what you don't like, and then that's just feedback so you can keep finding your path.

Speaker 2:

You know, I love you saying that, because sometimes I get lately this little voice on my shoulder because I'm I don't't want to talk about my age but I never feel like it's like everything. Like you feel like, okay, everybody else is aging, but I'm not, yeah, and sometimes it starts to creep up because I I am almost to a big number and so I find that a little bit here and there going yeah, and then I have to like push it aside and don't think that, because you're right, it can happen anytime for anyone. It's like people that start their health journey and they're like 70. I always tell people it's never too late. You see people that just make leaps and bounds and your age, like you're saying, and it's again.

Speaker 1:

Look atk rowling. Jk rowling got rejected. How many times then she got picked at like what? 54. She was 54. You think she's sitting there sulking now, or you think she's like rolling in the dough and she loved, she believed.

Speaker 2:

The thing is that she believed right, and so, like that's our like, it doesn't, you don't know when it's gonna happen, but she believed and that's all I think too, I keep coming back to and I know you do the same as we don't want to, we don't want to dim our light. We want to be bright and positive for others and also it's the people we're going to impact Like we want, and that's our whole goal. Right, that's our part to impact others in their lives and even if it's just one person, I always feel like just one person right and not to like minimize and go just one. But seriously, I've always reminded myself when I've done like a live video or whatever and go, even if one person, if it impacts one person's life, then I've done my job.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, exactly Exactly. It's not about you, it's about who you're going to serve, and I had to also get clear on that too. I was like who am I helping? When I was doing my own content, it became the me show and again, there's literally nothing wrong with it. I mean, you look at Alex Earl, she's making millions, but it's literally all about her. You, there's to me. There's just no. I almost am shocked by this. I don't know. I guess it's similar to the Kardashians, where you just get so into them. I never felt like that. That didn't, that doesn't feel like me. I don't know why. Like it just doesn't feel like me, like I almost feel uncomfortable with that. I'm like why would I just create these like fans that are like obsessed with me but like I don't really know them, not really doing anything for them? It just felt disingenuine for me. I just didn't. I don't know, didn't? I don't know? There was just a weird dynamic there. Do you know what I'm saying?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, no, I totally agree, and I sometimes like with myself. Sometimes I'll think it's not about the, the attention, but sometimes I'll share something about me because I want it to light others up or to motivate them to do the same thing. Right, yeah?

Speaker 1:

You know there's a balance like and you should share your life. I'm not saying that, but it just when it becomes all about you, you're like okay, you know what I mean.

Speaker 2:

So it's like a hundred percent, a hundred percent. Well gosh, my friend. I know we could talk on this for a really long time. How can people find you? I'll put all your information in the show notes. But what's what's the best way? How can people find you? I'll put all your information in the show notes but what's the best way?

Speaker 1:

Instagram and TikTok. Instagram is Jamie Greenfield and then TikTok is the Jamie Greenfield because my first name was taken. So yeah, but it's funny because I would really like to do kind of more of live streaming. I think that conversations like this it's different when you're creating content and you're like kind of structuring a certain way. I always find that I'm really good at kind of free flowing kind of like this. So um, but I know for myself I don't want to do. I just I'm not ready to put on the podcast right now, but I was thinking, you know, maybe a live stream would be really fun to just talk to people and find your, your tribe.

Speaker 2:

So I love that and, if I can, you know whatever I can do to support you cause. I love this, I always love our conversation and I would love to have you back in a few months and, you know, have you share what's going on and check in Love that and I'm so proud of you too, and you are just such as, like your two things I want to say.

Speaker 1:

Number one is that you were such a bright light, but also, to, like you, just live in service and it just shows. It just shows the way that you speak, it shows through the way that you talk to people, it shows through just your sincerity, and so I just think that you're going to be so successful because you care, you know you really care and that's what, that's what a good coach is. They really care and you're living it. So I'm just so excited for you. I feel like this is your time.

Speaker 2:

I really do, I genuinely sincerely think this is your time. I just got chills. Thank you for that, Jamie. I received that. I thank you so much for all of that. That's really super, very sweet and thoughtful and kind for you to say all those words.

Speaker 1:

Every single one and I'm excited. So we check back in a few months. It's going to be only good things you know.

Speaker 2:

Yeah Well, I'm super excited for you. I feel like I keep saying that word super and I need to probably cut that out, but it's very excited. I'm excited for what you have in store and just the journey that you are on and I look forward to supporting you in every way and to the listeners. Reach out to Jamie she's amazing and we'll share all of her information in the show notes so that you can reach out to her and any last words of inspiration I started realizing I should be saying words of wellness at the end, any words of wellness you want to share or words of inspiration yes, it is to believe in yourself to the point of delusion.

Speaker 1:

There is no such thing as delusion. Believe in yourself. If you don't believe in yourself, it's gonna be very hard for people to believe in you. You gotta be like your number one advocate, even if you don't believe it sometimes tell yourself that you can be anything, that you are exactly who you think that you are, and just try to like get that inner critic out of the, get him out of the room, he's inner critic out of the, get him out of the room.

Speaker 2:

He's got to go, he's got to go. So that's what I would tell anyone. That's perfect. I love it, and it's such a great reminder and we need to remind ourselves all of the time. So, thank you, thank you for that. You're welcome. You're welcome shelly so fun I'm excited.

Speaker 1:
