Speaker 2:Hello everyone, and welcome back to Words of Wellness. My name is Shelly Jeffries and I am really very excited to introduce our guests to you all today. They are retired chiropractors, clinical nutritionists, and they have been a part of the health and wellness world industry profession since the 1980s and you know they are involved with a topic that is a huge passion of mine and they are going to get to share about what they are of mine and they are going to get to share about what they are working on at this stage of their lives. But I am so excited. Welcome, drs Glynn and Ina Nozak. How are you both?
Speaker 1:We're good. How are you so nice to be here. Thank you for having us on today.
Speaker 2:I'm so excited to have you both and I just can't wait to hear everything that you have to share with us and for our listeners, just to know. As I mentioned, they have been involved in this profession since the 1980s. They have a wealth of knowledge. So we'll be able to just cover a little bit in our timeframe, but I'm excited to hear what we're going to share and learn from you both. I would love to hear a little bit about your background briefly, and then maybe kind of take us to what led you to where you are today and what you're doing with your business.
Speaker 1:So we go way back. We started our holistic health journey as chiropractors in the late 1980s and Glenn and I opened our holistic health center and we were in private practice for many years. Working in a lot of different was always my love and my passion, and throughout our entire career we were always somehow connected to the concern about toxicity, whether we were supporting people on their journey of detoxification and various cleansing protocols and ways to get the toxins out of our cells and out of our bodies so that we can function at a higher level, and also recognizing the need to reduce the toxic load from outside sources, from the environment, whether it's the water we're drinking, the air we're breathing, the food we're eating, anything that we could help ourselves, our patient base, obviously the people we love and care about we recognize that it's just such an important aspect of health and wellness. So that's kind of what leads us here all these years later is we're still working in that same realm well, the toxins don't go away.
Speaker 3:That's the problem, you know. It's like there's always a toxic load out there and so, um, and they're new, there's new ones, and so that's always kept us up on what are we being bombarded by now, you know?
Speaker 2:well, that's.
Speaker 2:It's so interesting and fascinating to me because this is an area that I've been involved with for quite a few years as well, and so you know, I I know that we could talk forever about this topic because, like you're saying, glenn, there's there, there are always coming out with new things, new toxins that we're being exposed to, and I always tell people it's, it's a big rabbit hole, right?
Speaker 2:You can spend a lot of time researching and learning and studying about it, and I have done that over the years and I know that for the average person it can be really overwhelming, and I and you probably do the same thing.
Speaker 2:I try and tell people and encourage them just to make small changes, like a couple swaps out whether it's swapping out healthier snacks or what have you just to kind of gradually make those changes, because it's so concerning to know how long we've been exposed to how many toxins and how it's definitely affecting our health and has been for many, many years. And obviously you know we're not, doesn't seem like we're getting healthier, even though it seems like people are more educated, but it seems like we're getting sicker. So you might have the same thought as I do that we attribute all of these back to these toxins and what's happening in our environment and our food supply and our water supply. So you have been researching a lot longer than I have, so I find it fascinating. You know there's so much to learn, so much to learn, and I'm sure you've seen it just kind of evolve and just it's gotten worse over the years, not better, I feel like.
Speaker 1:Yeah, you know, it's gotten worse over the years, not better. I feel like, yeah, you know, it's gotten way worse, right? I mean, wouldn't you agree? It's because, like Glenn said, there's just newer toxins that we're being exposed to, and the thing that I think is important for everyone to understand is that our bodies are designed to detoxify.
Speaker 1:We are, you know, we have this innate system already built in, thank goodness, but and I've said this for years and now it's like, oh my gosh, like we were never supposed to be so bombarded. And now, with all of these, you know, even forever chemicals, for example, you know they're called forever chemicals because they don't break down in the environment, in our bodies, and so you know, and there's thousands of them now. So it's like, oh my gosh, like we can, like you say, the rabbit hole where it can become very depressing and concerning. And so, just like you shared, shelley, like whatever we can do, little things to improve upon and also to not get freaked out, because the stress alone is not healthy for our body and our immune system either. So we have to have that good balance, knowing that we're doing the best we can. Right, right, right.
Speaker 2:And I think you know, sometimes we'll see people comment and say well, our bodies are designed to detox, that they do so on their own, that's how they're designed, and I will always say, yes, in a perfect world that's how we are designed, but not in the world we live in today.
Speaker 2:You have to take extra steps to help with that process, and I know, you know, I started the same products that you had, I believe, used for years, and I noticed such a difference when I started to incorporate that cellular detox, that cellular cleanse component and I still do. I mean, I noticed such a difference in how I feel, and you both maybe have experienced this as well. One thing for me was interesting is I, coming from the same as you both a health and wellness background and thinking, oh, I'm pretty energetic and I feel pretty good, and then all of a sudden going, oh my gosh, I didn't realize how much better I could feel, and so I often think about that because I think here we are and we're educated in this field. So then I think about, like the average person, like I'm going, oh my gosh, I felt so much better, how much better could they feel? You know, like I remember, it was just a light bulb moment for me. I had no idea.
Speaker 1:Yeah, yeah. We get used to a certain level of wellness, right, and then we don't realize that our capacity is so much, so much better, so much more.
Speaker 2:And I think we take for granted I know I take for granted that this has been a part of my life for decades. So, again, you think you're healthy, clean. You know eating and doing all the things which, for the most part, you are. You know eating and doing all the things which, for the most part, you are, but there's always room for improvement.
Speaker 3:Right yeah, absolutely. And sometimes I think we miss, like the big ones. You know the things that we can't avoid, like you know, the air we breathe, the water we drink, you know those are, those are huge, and we often don't either think we have ways to address them or we simply just don't bother. You know it's just too much.
Speaker 2:It is. It can be again. You know, like I was saying, it's a little bit overwhelming, you know, for that person. And then what do they end up doing? Sometimes, just forget it. It's, it's just too challenging, it's too much to think about.
Speaker 2:But you know, there's a book you maybe have, you probably have seen and I don't have it around here somewhere, but the doctor even quotes the fact that 95% of disease and illness is attributed to what we're talking about the environment and the toxins and the food, how we're eating, what are we putting in our bodies. And so to me that's like you're saying, glenn, we can't control so much the air we breathe. But I always tell people, whatever it is in your control and your power that you can control, we can control what we put in our mouths, right, the water we drink. Then take steps in those areas, because there's so much going on that we don't know about, we can't control. So it's a, it's a challenge, but I feel like we we keep plugging along and educating and that's why you guys are here to do that and to help others. And thank you for all that you do, by the way, yeah, our pleasure.
Speaker 1:And you know, I just want to comment on something Glenn just said which is so powerful and important. You know, it's things like, yes, the air, the water, like there are many people that will buy organic produce and they'll come home and they'll wash it in unfiltered water, and it's not that they're not smart people, it's just the awareness that is not always there, going out to a restaurant and ordering a healthier choice on the menu, but what are they using for their oils? What kind of water are they using to wash and to cook with, and you know. So, all of those things. Again, it's the awareness, and I think that's part of why we do. What we do is really to bring the awareness more than anything, because people are going to do what they're going to do, but sometimes they don't know. It's like you don't know what you don't know, right, right.
Speaker 3:Especially in the case of water, where we're in contact with it all the time people don't realize how much water they use every single day. You know, those who are up on, you know, doing something about their drinking water often have something like maybe a reverse osmosis under their sink or some kind of filtration system for their drinking water. But they don't realize that it's probably not where they're brushing their teeth, that's not where they're washing their face, it's not where they're bathing themselves or their kids, you know, and so that's where it's being missed. People even get it, but they don't see the bigger picture of how often they're being exposed.
Speaker 1:And sometimes they're not giving their pets the filtered water they're giving their pets the water out of the tap when they're using different you know. So there's just again. It's like the awareness, the consciousness that I think needs to be maybe raised a bit, you know, for a lot of people.
Speaker 2:Yeah, for sure, and I, you know, I think you both would appreciate this. I created, and I have actually a masterclass on this topic and the main purpose and I always say when I talk about this topic is just to bring about awareness, even even with my college students, when I was teaching, I would share with them and I and I would share with them to again increase that awareness level and to encourage them to start to do a little bit of their own research, start to kind of be more aware of these, these items that we're being exposed to. And it's, it's an ongoing process, for sure, it really is.
Speaker 3:And you're focusing now on on the water, the, the non-toxic water yeah, yeah there's been radical changes in in recent times with water and we didn't even we weren't actually not even aware of some of the changes until recently, and they're making a big difference. It's like the hardest thing has been how to get all the toxins out of the water and still maintain regular, healthy, mineral rich water. That water that's been the catch. It's like you can remove the toxins but along with it you're going to take healthy minerals usually, and so you're not going to be exposed to toxins, but you're also not getting like truly alive water the way the body wants it, that conducts electricity.
Speaker 3:People don't even realize like certain types of water are dead, so to speak. We call that dead it's like our term, but really what we mean by that. So what does it mean by dead water? Dead water is simply mineral-exempt water and so it doesn't even conduct electricity. It's like you know it doesn't hold a charge. And our bodies? You know when we say that we're 70% made of water, it's really all about without getting real biologically scientific, just simple intracellular and extracellular water in our body and that water needs to be conductive. You know has been about working on that type, that part of the science. You know where they can actually have mineral rich, but fully ultra filtered, you know water.
Speaker 2:That's so important and I I think it's important to educate, like what you're sharing, because a lot of people, most people, aren't going to think about that. They just think, oh, I'm filtering my water, but what do you? You know, along the process, what do you? You're maybe filtering out some of the good, the good minerals, the good things that our bodies need. So that's such a great point.
Speaker 1:And I think Shelly too, likes a lot of people. They've already, they're already aware of toxins in their water, right, so maybe they no longer drink their water, they outsource, they buy bottled water and again it's like a whole other issue the plastics, the microplastics, the nanoplastics, what that's doing to our environment, what it's doing to our body. They're finding these plastics, you know, on autopsy, in our vital organs and they're also finding all kinds of contaminants in bottled water. So it's not what we think it is. So there's just so much to it. You know, there really is. It's a lot.
Speaker 3:Well, the majority of bottled water is simply tap water that's run through activated carbon filters, you know, which is good. But it's not enough. Well, it's better. Actually it's better, right. Maybe it's better, right, it is. It's better than what they started with. But again, once they bottle it now they've introduced a whole new problem. And we know when do those bottles sit Hot trucks, hot warehouses Heck here in Florida. You know when people'more bottles, they're storing them in a hot garage and it's just sitting there getting, you know, just having heat beat on it, breaking down. You know, when it's the little water bottles, you can tell they almost break down in your hand. Some of them they crumple, they're like that thin so you can imagine how easy that would be to start dissolving. But even the big ones, just being exposed to heat over and over again, it's certainly breaking down and it's a huge issue.
Speaker 2:And I think that's another area that I don't think people put two and two together about. I mean, more and more is coming out about the bottles and the plastics and the heat and how that affects it, and I guess it goes back to again the forever chemicals, and I shared about that as well. Just the thought of that. You know the fact that it doesn't break down in our bodies and it stays there for, however, I mean forever, however long right.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Yeah yeah, Alarming it really is. So do you want to share a little bit about how the system works that you're using now and that you're the company you're affiliated with? How does the? How does it work?
Speaker 1:Yeah and I'll. I'll preface this with how does it work? Yeah, and I'll preface it with this, shelley, because the last thing we ever want to be known as is a couple that are trying to sell something. We've never come from that place. It's always something that we wholeheartedly believe is going to make a difference in people's health believe is going to make a difference in people's health.
Speaker 1:And it takes a lot to find a product that will stand behind that we can really feel good about, Right, and so not to bash any other technology or any other type of way to, because the truth is, any filtration is better than no filtration Right, and what we always say is, if you don, better than no filtration right, and what we always say is, if you don't have a filter, you are the filter right. So there's so much that our bodies need to filter out of the water in particular. So what's great about our system? There's a couple of things that are amazing. First of all, our system is third-party tested. Our system is third-party tested, so we have three different independent labs that test to make sure that what we say is coming out of the water is actually coming out of the water, and to us, like that's probably the most important thing, is being able to prove it. It's award-winning technology and we'll share a little story about how this was founded, which is really, really cool, which I think you'll appreciate.
Speaker 1:But our system filters down to the biologicals, so the viruses, the bacteria, the cysts, those are the smallest nanoparticles and that's all being filtered out. So when there are boil alerts around the country we don't have to boil our water because it's getting down to that level. The other thing is certain types of filtration methods. There's tanks and when water is sitting in a tank and exposed to air there's biofouling it's called. Where you know, microorganisms grow and that is potentially creating more of an issue. So our system handles that to the T. We also have our system will condition the water without salt. So a lot of people use I don't know how the water is in California by you, if it's hard or not it's hard where I am.
Speaker 1:It is, yeah, like Utah and Arizona, certain states known to have hard water. Florida has hard water, not quite as hard as other states, but a lot of people will use softeners and the softener will protect the plumbing and the pipes. It will prevent that buildup, that calcium carbonate buildup. Our system conditions the water without salt. So we're not going to get any of that scale. We're not going to get the spots on the glasses or in the shower. You know it's going to sustain the life of the washing machine and the dishwasher and the coffee maker and all that. But it's not going to harm us, because putting salt, using a softener, is harming not only us, our physical body, but also the environment, and there are actually states that are banning water softeners.
Speaker 3:I think it'll be banned nationwide within five years. It's ruining the aquifer all over. It's really bad here in Florida and there are many safe alternatives. There's a number of them. So instead of exchanging sodium for the calcium, which is what they're doing in those systems, you can alter the calcium very simply so it doesn't start and become calcium carbonate and do the buildup. In fact, it'll clean your pipes the same way and it's entirely safe and it still allows that healthy calcium to come through. So you're still getting magnesium and you're getting mineral rich water.
Speaker 1:Yeah, our system also doesn't require electricity, which is another really important issue, because when there's a power outage or when a system clicks off for whatever reason, a lot of people don't know to recheck, like if you have a little surge or something.
Speaker 3:Salt systems are electrical, so that's what it is, because they need to flush themselves out every so often. So those systems flush themselves out and people don't realize if the power's out then they're not even getting that benefit. Realize if the power's out then they're not even getting that benefit. But it's important to realize that softening water is different than filtering water. In no way is it filtering, it's just handling the hardness. It's strictly a hardness situation, and so there are two different aspects of what we want to do with water.
Speaker 3:You know, if it's hard, yeah, it will help to condition. It'll feel a little better when you wash your hair and things like that. It'll be easier to create studs and things like that. That's what people notice. The salt conditioners, however often you mean the softeners. The salt softeners give you that slimy feel sometimes, right right, people either get used to and like or they get used to and hate. You know, yeah, and so it's nice that there are alternatives and we have that there. But I'll tell you what really got us excited initially and why we found this company was because of like how they came about getting this filtration designed anyway. So the product, the actual filters, are created by a company called Toppin Health, and Toppin Health has been the leader in medical and dental water filtration for over 35 years. And the story, the original story, is phenomenal because one of the engineers two, two Well, the founder of the founder of the company, his name is Owen Boyd, brilliant, like beyond brilliant man, has multiple degrees, quick, and I wife had this healthy pregnancy.
Speaker 1:there was no genetic tendencies like. Owen, being the smart man, was blown away and like had to figure out how what could have gone wrong. And they were able to trace it back. When his wife was five weeks pregnant, which is the exact time that the hand would bud, she was exposed to mercury amalgam filling and that was it. So him being who he is, it completely changed the direction of his career and he went on to create an amalgam separator. He got mercury out of the dental water. You know all the water and dental practices. He went on to pass legislation in all 50 states about, so he is so.
Speaker 3:So what he realized of that game he realized that there was mercury not only being being exposed, obviously, to the patient, to his wife, but even the doctor. And then, even if nobody was exposed, what were they doing with that? With the amalgam that they were drilling, it was going back into the water system. It turns out that, like any mercury and water in our country leads back many times in mostly the dental scenarios. Which is being changed. It's being changed, so you still see it, because the people still have them in their mouths, they're not using it and some dentists are still using it, you know, and that's controversy, we won't get into that.
Speaker 3:Yeah, that's not what we could.
Speaker 1:But so what happened was all of these dental practices and medical practice had this amazing technology and they wanted it for their home, and that's how Toppin Health came to be where we now can offer it to residential and so the system. That's why it filters down to the biological contaminants, which is so important. Those are the smallest particles, so if it's doing that, I mean it's doing a whole lot of good. So there's so many really cool and unique features to the system that we're just really proud to be able to represent, and it's so affordable. Shelley and so many systems are not. They're just out of reach for a lot of people, and so there's just a lot of good reason, when people are looking for a whole house system, to consider ours and you bring up a good point.
Speaker 3:It's a whole house system, which is uncommon. So in other words, most people cannot do whole house reverse osmosis, even though we can give you reasons why you might not want to do that anyway. But prior to this type of technology, I would have believed that was the best way to filter your water and if you could afford it and you were allowed to, you could set up what looks like a little mini lab outside of your house sometimes, but it's a whole house reverse osmosis system. It's very expensive.
Speaker 1:It's very expensive. There's a ton of wastewater and again it takes out the minerals.
Speaker 3:And that's the key. You mentioned a great thing. The wastewater is critical because it's one thing. You're producing, like a three gallon tank under your sink, like some people have for drinking water, reverse osmosis, and for every gallon that they're producing, between one and five is being wasted. But could you imagine the amount of water in a whole house? You know, just multiply it the the fee on the water alone would just be yeah, and the system itself is multiple thousands in in that regard but again, the big thing though that gets me that I love about this new technology is it never occurred to anybody.
Speaker 3:It's like okay, you can remove toxins from your water, where are you putting them? Thing though that gets me that I love about this new technology is it never occurred to anybody. It's like, okay, you can remove toxins from your water, where are you putting them? Where you're putting, sometimes they're actually going back into the water, though not you're drinking water, but ultimately into the aquifer and with affecting everyone else on the planet, it just right.
Speaker 1:So with this, it's being locked into a filter with this micron guard technology. So, glenn's point, which I'm sorry, I'm like cutting you off, but it's doing as much of that filtration for a whole house but a fraction of the price, with no wastewater maintaining the mineral. So we get excited about this.
Speaker 2:I love it and I'm excited too. I cannot wait to try it and I'm excited too. I can't. I cannot wait to try it and I can't wait to share. You know, I will definitely will be putting all the information in the show notes and I want to.
Speaker 2:I love all of this information that you're sharing and and I want to really come back and highlight what you said in the beginning about you know, finding something that you love, that you want to share. I am so in alignment with you on that. We've found something that betters people's lives and their health and we want to share that. You know, we've experienced it, so we want others to experience the same. And you know, I just want to remind the listeners that this, this discussion, and Dr Glenn and Dr Ina, they're coming from a, a place of wanting to serve and wanting to help and and good, good hearted and very smart people.
Speaker 2:So I think that you don't come across as trying to sell anything just so, you know. But it's again comes back to just sharing what you have found that and it's exciting, this is very exciting to have a system like what you are sharing about the history and how it started, because, again, that's huge. That's quite a story that you shared and it kind of reminds me of when I discovered and I share about this also about all of the toxins and the chemicals are already seeing in the newborn blood in the umbilical cords of newborn babies, and so this story that you're sharing makes me think of that.
Speaker 2:Like it's, you know we're, it's not only getting to the mom, but it absolutely is getting to the developing baby.
Speaker 1:So it's, it's big time, it really is it sure, is it really really is?
Speaker 2:it's.
Speaker 1:Nobody is immune, that's for sure, and it's funny you say that shelly, because I always said that always, always I said nobody's exempt. None of us are living in a glass bubble and so we're all being exposed and no matter how hard we try to take really, really good care of ourselves and many of us do there's no guarantees, because we're being bombarded whether we like it or not.
Speaker 2:You know and that's for sure. That's another thing. I always tell people there's not any guarantee, and I, I think for me personally, a lot of my motivation has been my parents being sick and they're both no longer living. But my mom was diagnosed with cancer and lost her battle at age 67. And then 10 years later my dad died from various illnesses and you know it just what it does for me is it motivates me to do more so that in hopes that I don't go through that, so my children don't have to see me go through it.
Speaker 2:But again, I always will say there's, there's no guarantee. You know I mean we do the best that you can. And and I also want to make a point to listeners, this is always a big thing for me too is that you know you still, you still have to enjoy your lives. You know it's not like you're going to cut everything out and it's grim from here on out. You know it's not so much that, it's just, again, the awareness and making the best educational choices you can for yourself and your family and living your best life and feeling your best to your best ability. And and there are a lot of what we're talking about today does that you know.
Speaker 2:To me it's like we want to live a life of vitality and feel good and be healthy to the best of our abilities, and water is huge when it comes to that. It's, I mean, like you're saying. You know it's everyday part of our lives, not just drinking it, but we're putting it on our bodies, we're putting it on our faces, we're washing our kids and all of the things. It's so important.
Speaker 3:And when we realize what people are spending outsourcing their water, it's insane. It's like if you were, you would never pay that much for gas. I mean it'd be like $12 a gallon. You know crazy prices. You know most people are paying like close to a dollar a bottle, if not more. And certainly if you go out, you know, but if you're buying it, you know by the case or whatever, it's far less. But the quality is certainly not anywhere worth what the cost ends up being and that's the sad, you know truth about it. And so we're kind of on a mission to get people to realize they could have, you know, better than bottled water, quality water that they could put in their own bottles.
Speaker 1:Well, you know it's not Well.
Speaker 3:I said better than because it's not good quality to begin with, yeah. But not everybody thinks that, and you know, and it's funny talking about that. So many companies that are producing bottled water have been recalled. Yes, you wouldn't think like food, fiji water, you know, for Bromate and other companies, you know.
Speaker 3:Zephyr Hills is a popular one here, florida, they got recalled and they hushed this stuff up a little bit. You know you're not going to see that on the front page of your newspaper it's going to be deep in there somewhere. Because they don't want to panic the public, and I understand that. You know that's fair. But at the same time we definitely want to educate the public.
Speaker 2:so that they know what to do you know, be considerate of your time and our listeners. But I I'm curious for just practical purposes. When you go out to a restaurant, let's say what, what, how do you approach it? Are you asking, like, how are you cooking the food and are you, are you bringing? I would assume you bring your own water, because that's what I would do, but how do you approach that from a practical standpoint?
Speaker 1:So I never, ever drink water at a restaurant unless we know that they filter their water with a good system, and some restaurants do. I will order a glass bottle of San Pellegrino or red wine.
Speaker 1:Yes, I'm with you on that um, and we do try our best to go to restaurants where we know they're using cleaner, pure ingredients, healthier oils and so forth. But it's hard because you know, shelly, when you're social and you don't want to be that pain in the butt like, oh she, you know it's not gonna, you know whatever. Again, that's gonna. You know whatever. Again, that's where we talked initially about balance and, just like you said before, like we have to live our life and know that, yeah, our bodies are going to really resist for us, you know they're going to, they're going to handle a lot. So we don't, we can't, be purists, but we have to have a good balance and do the things that we have control over as much as possible. So, in answer to your question, we we do try to stick with healthier establishments and I will. You'll never see me I really don't drink water with when I eat anyway, but I will never be drinking water in a restaurant if it's their regular tap water.
Speaker 2:I need to start asking because I don't. I'm very sensitive to how it tastes. I can, right away, I can tell if it tastes clean or if it's not. Most of the time it's not. I mean, even if it's tasting clean doesn't mean that it is right, right.
Speaker 1:And the other thing to think with is when they're cooking rice or pasta or you know that it's absorbing the contaminants. You know, we do an interesting test when we go to someone's home and just to really test for chlorine and chlorine compounds, which are very, very carcinogenic, the byproducts of chlorine which they're using to treat the water. It's very, very not okay, but you know. So it's like the pros and the cons, but we'll go and we'll show people. You know cause. We'll test for chlorine. And if you put rice in the tap water and then pour the water off and then put the drops to check for chlorine in the water that we poured off, it's not going to show up because the rice absorbed it. Wow.
Speaker 3:It's seconds, it's wild. In fact we sometimes have people you know we'll see that they have no system. We'll test their water, show that there is of course chlorine and chloramines in their water, and then we'll say, take just another separate cup a little bit, just swish it around your mouth for a second and spit it back out. And then we'll test that and again, like Ina says, doesn't show up. I'm like where's the chlorine? That's how fast just that within seconds. So I said imagine you sitting in a bathtub.
Speaker 1:Well, imagine the vapors from your shower, hot shower that's, you know all the same, yeah, right. So it's just the awareness again. And what can we do? That's simple enough and not so out of control, price wise, where we just have to surrender. You know, we can, we can take action.
Speaker 3:There are definitely basics we're big on like at least handle like some of your basics, things that are within your control, that aren't even humongous lifestyle changes yeah you know you're already probably consuming and drinking water. Why not have it be better? Better water, same with food, same with air. You know all these basic things. There are tweaks you can make to just live a healthier life and it's going to add up.
Speaker 1:Yeah for sure.
Speaker 2:Yeah, Adds up over time for sure. And the just one other thought I had the whole house system, so like, for example, we have a jacuzzi, would it filter into that?
Speaker 1:So we have our system. A lot of times will be installed with a bypass, so the plumber could put a bypass on. So let's say, well, if it's filling you want, you know you use chemicals right in your jacuzzi, right and in your pool. Yeah, so you can bypass it and we do like we have something we can recommend for people that want to cut down on the amount of chlorine in their pool. Glenn found years ago it's called a Frogger system, which just reduces the amount uses minerals, so it reduces the amount that you need.
Speaker 1:But in answer to your question, shelley, yeah, I mean we're still going to absorb it, but you know how often are you going in and are there alternatives? And now I think technology is changing a lot. There's going to be a lot of cool things coming out that will help to be able to eliminate a lot of a lot of it.
Speaker 3:The awareness is better, it's getting better. People are waking up to what's going on, it's being exposed and now newer technologies are out there to take care of it, which is exciting.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah, that's very exciting and I know for me personally and I'm sure you both are the same way I'm I very sensitive to the smell of chlorine or any chemicals Like I'll. I know you, you both can relate to this Even after the country had been shut down and hotels. You know, we were going down to watch our son play baseball in San Diego and I'll never forget walking into the hotel that we would normally stay in and this was now coming back off of the country being shut down and they're in there cleaning and I mean we're talking a big lobby and I was like oh my gosh, the chemicals. I was like get me out of here. And you know, I just think they just don't realize. But it, you know, immediately walking in, it was so strong and in some regards I'm glad to have that and be so sensitive to it. But there are other moments where I'm like I wish I could smell it right now.
Speaker 1:You know, I know, I know I'm the same way. I'm very, very sensitive and like over aware to the point where I get, like you know, but yeah, I totally get where you're coming from with that. Yeah.
Speaker 2:Yeah, we need to. We need to. That's a whole other topic. The cleaning products, yeah, well, I want to make sure we give you a time to share and I know we need to wrap this up. This has just been so, so interesting and I appreciate you both so much for spending your time with us. This has been great. I want to hear, I have you share with our listeners about. You have an upcoming podcast happening right and January is it coming?
Speaker 1:out yeah.
Speaker 1:So, we're launching January 20th and our podcast is called the toxic truth about water and it's a mini series, so there'll be 12 episodes with a couple of bonus episodes, and each week we're really going into just again bringing up the awareness about certain things, to look out for options available, just ways to not only become aware but ways to help ourselves, just to become the healthiest, happiest version of ourself. Right, we always say, without our health we have nothing. So it's really for the awareness to get people to really be conscious of what they can do to help themselves and what to look out for.
Speaker 3:You know the things to you know avoid and scams and that Avoid getting duped. Yeah.
Speaker 2:For sure For sure. Well, I can't wait to listen and again, I'll put all the information in the show notes for our listeners and I can't wait to have that come out. And I just want to thank you both so much and if there's anything you would like to leave with our listeners, any last final words of advice, inspiration, anything you'd like to leave them with.
Speaker 1:I would just say, you know, I think mindset, mindset trumps all of it. So, even though we can get down and depressed and concerned and overwhelmed by all of this when we talk about it it's like, oh, I think if we have as much of a positive attitude and just trust and, you know, just really do the best we can but not get overly angst about it, I think we're going to be in better shape. So hopefully that is clear enough. I think you understand where I'm coming from.
Speaker 2:I love that. Anything else you want to add, Glenn, before we.
Speaker 3:God, I don't know what else can Ken other than I'm excited to still be educating people all these years and still finding new and exciting solutions, because that's kind of what it's been. It's been a journey of solutions, looking for various solutions. Been it's been a journey of solutions, you know, looking for various solutions and and so I love that, you know I get, I love them. We find something new that people don't have. You know yet that many people don't have yet that we can expose them to and know that there are new choices, you know, in areas that they didn't think there were.
Speaker 2:And so that's really exciting in areas that they didn't think there were, and so that's really exciting. Yeah, yeah, I love that. I I'm right with you both on that. I'm constantly on this journey of trying new products and non-toxic products and sharing them with others. And I have a few links in the show notes for my podcast where, you know, just just again getting the message out and here's what I've tried, here's what you know I love, maybe you'll love it too. And and it's again getting the message out and here's what I've tried, here's what you know I love, maybe you'll love it too. And and it's again, just sharing, sharing the health with everyone as much as possible. And so well, you both are wonderful. Thank you again, so much.
